Passionate guitarist who has been playing for 13 years as of 2022. I have a love for playing music and performing live in front of audiences, hence why I have pursued the path of Bachelor’s Degree of Music: Performance at Virginia Commonwealth University. I have attended 6 semesters at VCU after transferring into the school as a junior. Previously I had attended community college at Ventura Community College in Ventura California.

My main focus in guitar playing is shred guitar. I am inspired by guitar players such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Joe Stump, Gus G, Paul Gilbert, Jeff Loomis, Rob Math, as well as many others. Throughout my journey in learning electric guitar I have had a handful of teachers including Rob Math from Player, and Joe Stump from his solo career.

In my lessons from Rob Math, we met through an independent school called Rock Nation. During my time receiving lessons from Rob Math at Rock Nation, I had learned shred guitar techniques such as economy picking, sweep picking, hybrid picking, string skipping, and tapping.

During my time in community college in Ventura College, I had received Jazz Guitar lessons from Cesar Mateus. My main interest in Jazz Guitar lessons was to learn more music theory on the guitar, such as scales and arpeggios to add to my metal guitar playing. Although playing Jazz on the guitar was not my strong suit, I did enjoy learning how to better understand the guitar. After this point, I had already learned a lot of my guitar playing technique that would be used in the future for my own compositions.
While attending VCU for my Bachelor’s of Music: Performance degree, I had received lessons from Joe Stump during the Winter Break of 2021. Although I was learning about technique I already knew, I wanted to learn from one of the masters to reinforce my knowledge of shred guitar. These six weeks of lessons are a time I will never forget when I got lessons from one of my idols.
